How you are tracked on your phone.
iPhone or Android — it doesn’t matter.
Your phone collects location, movement, app usage, device IDs, voice activations, and browsing behavior every single day.
💬 SMS Texts Are NOT Secure
“Green bubble” texts (SMS/MMS):
- Not encrypted
- Easy for carriers to access
- Easily obtained by agencies with requests
- Vulnerable to interception
Stingrays (cell-site simulators used by FBI, ICE, DHS, local police):
- Pretend to be a cell tower
- Grab your location, device ID, and metadata
- Can read SMS content if they force your phone to 2G
Encrypted apps are NOT readable this way.
⚠️ NEW: FBI/CISA iMessage Alert (Nov 2025)
The FBI warned that iPhone ↔ Android texts fall back to SMS, which is vulnerable to:
- Cell-site simulators
- Telecom network breaches
- Spyware attacks
- Metadata collection
Encrypted only works when BOTH devices are in the same secure system.
🔐 How to Protect Yourself
- ❌ Don’t use SMS for anything sensitive
- ✔️ Use an app that is build for encrypted communication, not SMS/TXT
- ✔️ Turn off Location History
- ✔️ Disable ad tracking + unnecessary permissions
- ✔️ Turn off Wi-Fi/Bluetooth scanning
- ✔️ Disable 2G if your phone supports it
Your phone will always track something — but with the right apps and settings, you can take back most of your privacy.
